Originally from Long Island, New York, George earned his bachelor's degree from Manhattan College and his law degree from Saint John's University School of Law. After law school, George served in the Navy’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps for what he anticipated would be a four-year assignment. 22 years later he retired from the Navy and began his second career in estate, financial and tax planning.
During his Navy service he earned a Masters in Law degree from George Washington University School of Law with a specialization in income taxation and estate planning and this steered the course of his post-Navy service. After earning his LL.M., George recognized that to be a truly effective estate planning and tax attorney he needed more detailed knowledge of personal finances and how they interacted with other planning being done for his clients. To that end he earned the Certified Financial Planner® professional designation.
This combination of estate planning, financial planning, and tax expertise became the foundation of George’s client service model in his financial advisory firm, Safe Harbor Financial Advisors, LLC. In order to provide his clients even greater flexibility in advisory and portfolio management services, George merged Safe Harbor into MidAtlantic Wealth Partners in 2026.
George focuses his client work on retirement readiness, income planning, tax efficiency, and integration of a client’s estate and legacy planning with their financial planning. His unique experience in these three critical areas of a client’s financial and personal life distinguishes George from other financial advisors. Drawing on his Navy service, George considers himself a Retirement Success Advocate for his client guiding them along their retirement journey with comprehensive planning and periodic “course corrections.”
